Independence Day!

 Happy July 4th Everyone!
I thought you would enjoy these sweet pictures of the boys. We had a fun time running around to see the flags. Aparently Kail will do anything for a granola bar and lemon-lime Gatoraid! He was even saying "SMILE" to the camera... Things got a little crazy when he explored the idea of pulling out as many flags as he could get his little hands on... Kaiden and I put them back in the right places.  :)

Add Kail and his "Bun-Bun"... He must have snuck him out of the bag. (Kail looks like he is singing!)

So sweet!

Brotherly Love... (I swear I did not ask them to hug.. )

"Hurry! Get him before he pulls another flag!"

Here is a video of Kaiden singing the Star Spangled Banner. He is such a sweetheart. He had practiced this song over and over again. (Even snuck out of bed one night to check the lyrics to make sure he had them memorized.)

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter Everyone!
This was a tragic moment... Kail wasn't really feeling the whole duck/picture thing.

This basket worked great, Kail stayed in one place for more than a few shots! He even decided to take on the role of the Easter Bunny and eat his carrot... How cute!
This is his trademark look... Those little eyes!!!

We were bribing Kail with food at this point... It turns out, he will do anything for a bite of granola bar!
LOVE that hair!
Kail had to stop and smell the flowers.

Look, we trained our ducks to smile on cue!

Kail thought he would try to kiss the duck...

Then I guess he got hungry!?!?

Happy Easter! Yes… we have real, live, quacking ducks! I had no luck finding anyone who would rent out their bunny for a photo shoot, so this was plan B. I think it worked out great, though a little hectic at times. These little “quackers” have tripled in size, and I am READY to send them to the farm. The kids have all had a blast holding and chasing (herding) them into designated duck friendly areas. (ie. Away from the street, and most importantly, away from Foxy & Lola – our “duck hungry” doggies)

Enjoy these fun pictures of our family. I had fun taking them!

Snow Day!!!

"Mom.. How am I supposed to walk what with all of this stuff on?"

He figured it out... Off and running!

Kail's FIRST snow day!

All of our buddies joined in!

Kaiden really wants to have a snow ball fight!!! (NOT WHEN I HAVE MY CAMERA!!)

"Mom.. stop following me, I can handle it!"

Missing Lola, but a nice family shot!

We have had quite a few snow days this year, and Kaiden is just loving it! We got somewhere between 6-9 inches of snow yesterday, on top of what we already had from last weekend. These pictures are from 2 different snow days when we were able to sneak out side after I finished working. We hooked Lola up with a harness and she pulled the kids around on a tube. (Not pictured.. sorry!) They had a blast. We let her go inside and recuperate, and Foxy joined in for some out side fun. She LOVES the attention from all of the kids! I think Kail likes this snow.. I'm just trying to get him to stop eating it after we come inside and take off our boots. He always goes for the "dirty" snow.. YUCK!
(Ohh, and on a second note.. Shawn wrecked the Honda earlier this week due to an icy road and a pick-up truck. He wasn't hurt, but we are not sure if the car is going to make it.. Stay tuned...)

Where do they get their ENERGY!!!

There is no catching Kail... he is like a little cheetah on speed, always on the go. We finally were able to teach him not to touch the TV.. so instead it seems that he has moved on to more exciting things like "running on the couch?!?!" He is too fast to catch, and has fallen off a number of times, just to get right back up and do it again. Kaiden has been a big help in keeping a close eye on his younger brother, and makes sure to tell me every little move this little dude makes. This weekend we are introducing our new "Time Out Mat".. wish us luck....

A Visit with Santa 2010

Let's just say Kail didn't enjoy himself on this trip. He was absolutely freaked out by the man in the red suit! See this short video I made of our visit.

Halloween 2010 "Dracula's Son & Little Bat"

What a fun time these kids had! We had a costume party on Saturday, and Trick-Or-Treating on Sunday. Kaiden wanted to be something scary this year, so he came up with the idea of being the Son of Dracula. And Kail really didn't have much of an opinion... so I made him a bat!!! It is really tricky to get any pictures of these two.. Once they are in costume, they take on the roles of their characters. Kaiden seems to wrap himself up in his spooky cape, just as I snap the picture.. and Kail, well he doesn't stay still one bit. He just RUNS down the hall... (Like a bat out of hell!)

At the costume party, Shawn dresses up like "himself" and I was a spooky witch.. who look as if she had  drank WAY too much caffeine! (And YES... I crimped my hair! I found my old crimper from grade school.) At the party, the kids had the best scavengers hunt! Kaiden even won best costume!!! They had a great night!

Grandpa came to pass out candy this year, and to keep the trick-or-treaters in line. (He made sure they all say please and thank you.) Kail made it down the street, but I think the problem started when he kept trying to walk into everyone's homes. He just didn't understand why they would open the door for us, if we weren't going in. He almost make it into a couple. Kaiden and Daddy went off on their own, while Kail and I went home for bed. Eventually the guys made it back with a FULL bag of candy.. (that will take until next Halloween to finish! LITERALLY)
Happy Halloween everyone! I hope you all had as much of a good time as we did! I can't wait to start planning next years adventure.
